Damian Heller has more than 20 years of professional experience in the areas of compliance, corporate governance, legal and risk management. He is working as an independent consultant and is lecturing Compliance Management at the University of Basel. He held several leadership positions, including Global Compliance Officer of Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Company Secretary of Syngenta. He was also leading the consultancy practice of the Basel Institute on Governance, exercising compliance monitor functions and supporting multinational corporations in developing and improving their governance and compliance programs, including third party management systems. In this function, he was also in charge of the operation of FIFA’s Independent Governance Committee. He was a Board Delegate of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering against Corruption Initiative (PACI). He holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Basel and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester (NY).
